The Women’s Resource Center cordially invites the public to their 25th annual Gala and auction. It will be held Saturday, April 14, at the Winona Elks Lodge. “Twist the Night Away” is the theme and live dance music will be provided by The Jimmys. The Jimmys are an authentic blues, soul and Rhythm and Blues band from the Madison area. In 2009, Jimmy Voegli won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) 2011 Keyboardist of the Year.
Appetizers and a cash bar will be available. There will be a silent and a live auction with auctioneer Jon Kohner. Items such as a Wenonah Canoe Kayak, a one-year YMCA membership, a Newfoundland get-away, and a Wabasha weekend will be featured in the live auction.
Tickets are $35 each in advance or $240 for a reserved table of 8 and tickets are $40 at the door. “50s dress attire is encouraged. This event is a benefit for the Women’s Resource Center to provide crisis services to victims of sexual and domestic violence. For more information contact the WRC at 452-4440.
