Traffic stop nets drug search (04/25/2012)
On Saturday, April 21, deputies from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the village of Nelson. The operator of the vehicle, Adam Vogel was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance and for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Deputies later executed a search of Vogel’s residence on Second Street in Alma, where they found items consistent with that of manufacturing marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in Vogel’s residence. Kelsey Johnson, Eric Pearson and Stephen Griffith were also arrested for drug related offenses. Information from this incident assisted the Menomonie Police Department to recover drug paraphernalia from a residence in the city of Menomonie. The sheriff’s office had received information that Vogel was involved in illegal drug distribution. Investigation is continuing.
