On Saturday, April 21, at 2:13 p.m. the Buffalo County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting a three vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of STH 35 and County Road O, near the village of Cochrane.
On arrival, deputies found three people with injuries due to being ejected from their motorcycles. Gregory A. Imhoff, 46, Holmen, Wis., Michelle M. Nolan, 44, Holmen, and David B. Hass, 44, Holmen, were transported to Winona Health for various injuries by Scenic Valley Ambulance assisted by Winona Area Ambulance. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
Hass and his passenger, Nowlan, and Imhoff were traveling southbound on STH 35 as a 1998 Ford truck driven by Alexander M. Oskamp, 82, Buffalo City, Wis., was northbound on STH 35. Oskamp’s vehicle crossed the center line and traveled into the southbound lane of traffic continuing onto the southbound shoulder of STH 35. Oskamp was attempting to turn left onto County Road O. Imhoff was operating a 2000 Harley Davidson and Hass was operating a 2002 Harley Davidson which did not make contact with Oskamp’s truck. Oskamp’s presence in the southbound lane forced Imhoff and Hass to avoid a collision which caused them to lose control of their motorcycles.
The crash remains under investigation with charges pending.
