Cotter High School Show Choir concert May 1 (04/29/2012)

The Cotter High School Show Choir will present their “End of the Year Concert” on Tuesday May 1st at 7:30 PM in the St. Cecilia Theatre. This concert will feature the Cotter Show Choir, vocal soloists, “Timeless”, a select group of four men, “Divas”, a select group of seven women, and other vocal ensembles. “Timeless” selections will include “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. “Divas” will sing “Girl’s Sing Off”, from the hit series Glee. Show Choir selections will include the Bruno Mars hit “Just The Way You Are” featuring Brandon Hyoung, and “Someone Like You”, by another award winning artist Adele. Additional selections include a “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” medley. The “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” medley will feature special guest alumna Tim Olstad. Tim is a 2008 Cotter High School graduate. Tim played the male lead, Joseph, in the Cotter 2007 fall musical of “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Tim currently attends the University of Minnesota. Other Show Choir soloists and small ensembles will be singing songs from Broadway shows, and contemporary popular tunes as well.
The Cotter Show Choir sings at many Winona and area community events throughout the year. They are an auditioned group of 27-28 singers. The Cotter Show Choir is under the direction of Cathy Snyder. Mark Roeckers accompanies on piano and Katherine Gilmer is the choreographer. The concert is open to the public and admission is free. Coffee, juice, and bars will be served afterward.
