Colleen Tollefson from Explore Minnesota Tourism, Guest Speaker
Visit Winona will present its Annual Tourism Award to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum on Tuesday, May 8, at the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson Street.
“The Minnesota Marine Art Museum offers a world class collection of fine art and has significantly elevated Winona as a bona fide arts community,” said Visit Winona board member Steve Bachler. “They offer many outreach programs to both tourists and residents alike. Visit Winona is pleased to honor the Minnesota Marine Art Museum and their efforts in bringing visitors into the city of Winona.”
The evening also celebrates area tourism partners collaborating to promote Winona as a year-round travel destination.
“This year, the Visit Winona partnership program has grown to include a wide variety of businesses working together toward a common goal: increasing awareness and excitement about the Winona area,” said Kate Carlson, partnership director at Visit Winona. “We look forward to celebrating our successes with our partners and the community.”
The event is 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with a short program beginning at 6:00 p.m. The evening’s guest speaker w ill be Colleen Tollefson, from Explore Minnesota Tourism.
