On Saturday, April 28, at 7:51 p.m. the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a two vehicle crash with injury on Sth 88 near County Road B in the Town of Gilmanton.
On arrival deputies found Sharon Kent, 54, of Gilmanton, who was driving a 2000 Dodge Neon, had head injuries after she collided with a 2009 GMC truck driven by Kerri Zingshiem, 29, of Osseo, Wis. Kent was southbound on Sth 88 near the Long Shot’s Bar when Zingshiem who was northbound attempted a left hand turn into the bar parking lot in front of Kent, when the two collided. Kent was transported to an area hospital by Mondovi Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Zingshiem along with five passengers in his vehicle were not injured.
Zingshiem was arrested at the scene for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, causing injury. Other charges are pending upon the outcome of blood analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
