Residential property sales up in April (05/06/2012)

Residential property sales in Winona County during April nearly doubled over the same month a year ago. Sixty seven sales were recorded during April 2012 compared to 36 during April 2011. The average sale was $149,700. Total recordings for the month jumped from 573 in 2011 to 814 during April 2012.
County Recorder Bob Bambenek said historically low residential interest rates, nice weather and a renewed interest in home buying all contributed to the increase.
