The Winona School Orchestras will present their Spring Orchestra Festival on Thursday, May 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the Winona Middle School Auditorium.
This special concert provides the opportunity to enjoy the Fourth Grade Orchestra students in their first concert and all levels up to the WSHS Orchestra as the graduating seniors perform in their final concert.
As each orchestra plays, the audience can experience the development and growth of students from their first “Twinkle” variations to the final stirring notes of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony performed by the full Senior High Orchestra.
This final orchestra concert of the year also includes the presentations to this year’s Winona recipient of the prestigious National School Orchestra Award and the winner of the CodaBow Award, who receives a fine bow made and donated by CodaBow International, based in Winona.
Following the concert, there will be a root beer float fundraiser.
The public is cordially invited to attend this special concert which showcases all of the students in the Winona School Orchestra program.
