Harvest House, a nonprofit, non-denominational organization for 50 and getting better, will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, May 16, in St. Stanislaus Hall. Winona AMVETS Post 4 will hold election of officers at it’s meeting on Tuesday June 5, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting is held at the Winona Veterans Center on East Sarnia, across from the Lake Park ball diamonds. Any veteran who has served even one day on active duty is welcome to join.
The next meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Marines will be held at the Winona Area Veteran’s Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 7. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the USMC are urged to attend. Subjects at this meeting will include finalization of the flag give away and donation effort in support of the Winona Area Veteran’s Memorial Park, involvement in the Elks, Flag Day program, and participation in the Steamboat Days Parade.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.
