Houston Nature Center Frog walk event May 26 (05/16/2012)
7:00 PM Saturday May 26

Houston Nature Center

Which frog sounds like a loose banjo string being plucked? Which frog snores? Which one can stick to your windows? Find out the answers to these questions and more as you discover the frogs of southeastern Minnesota. You’ll get to see what they look like, hear what they sound like, then get a chance to put your new skills to the test with a short walk in the park to look and listen for frogs. Encounters with American Toads, Leopard Frogs, Green Frogs, Western Chorus Frogs, and Gray Treefrogs are all possible.

This program is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Hwys 16 & 76 in Houston on West Plum Street in Trailhead Park. Call 507-896-4668 or e-mail nature@acegroup.cc for more information.
