Flutist Nicholas Handahl of Onlaska will present a flute recital at Old Main in Galesville Thursday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. Handahl completed his Bachelor studies at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire as a student of Tim Lane.
Free will donations will benefit The Old Main Historical and Community Arts Center. Old Main is located at the south end of 12th Street. Turn south onto 12th from West Ridge or West Gale. Turn right onto College Ave. for parking. Old Main is on the left.
Visitors attending the concert will also be able to see a unique and fasciating exhibit of the works of local folk artist Lloyd Scarseth. Scarseth was featured in Life magazine in 1941 and in a 1948 book on the subject or rural artists of Wisconsin.
