Congressman Tim Walz announced the winners of
the Congressional Art Competition.
1st Place – Christina Gile, Grade 12, Winona HS, parents - Bert and Sabrina Gile, “The Mist-ery”, watercolor, art teacher - Ann Wistrcill
2nd Place – Karli Moger, Grade 10, Lewiston-Altura HS, parents - Paul and Terri Moger, “Look At Me” photograph, art teacher - Kimberly Moe
3rd Place- Chris Hansen, Grade 10, Winona HS, parents – John and Cari Hansen, “Boat Houses on the Mississippi” watercolor, art teacher - Ann Wistrcill.
The 1st place winner and a guest will be invited to a reception at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington DC on June 20th. The winning work from each Congressional district is displayed in an 11 month exhibit in the Cannon tunnel that leads to the U.S. Capitol. The 2nd and 3rd place winner will be displayed in the Walz district offices.
