Paddle the Long Lake Canoe Trail with the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge
Mississippi River residents and summer visitors are invited to participate in a summer full of paddling events. The Summer of Paddling 2012 is a series of over 100 paddling events in the 10 states bordering the Mississippi River and are designed to get Americans outside to enjoy the river and its backwaters via canoe.
The staff of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge is sponsoring a canoe trip in the beautiful backwaters on the Long Lake Canoe Trail in Trempealeau, WI on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 9am-12:30 pm. We will provide experienced guides, canoes, paddles, and life vests. This event is suitable for novice paddlers. The event is free of charge, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.
