Art show, block party June 2 (05/27/2012)

The Awakening Coffee house, located at the corner of West fifth and South Baker, will be hosting Mary Singer’s Art on the 2nd of June, Grand opening block party. The block will be closed for the party from 4 - 9:30 PM. Water , Land and Sky is the title of Mary’s show which includes a variety of paintings focusing on the Winona Area and the beauty of Nature surrounding us. There will be oils, watercolors , graphite and pen and ink originals as well as prints. Singer’s work comes in a range of sizes as well from large originals to medium and official miniatures. Singer recently recieved a grant form SEMAC to portray 5 women from Winona’s past that played important parts in the development of Winona County. These will be fine art oil portraits that will be donated to the Winona History Center and become a part of there permanent collections.
Singer’s work will be displayed at the Awakening Coffee house for the month of June. Come an enjoy all the fun activities at the Grand Opening.
