MMAM, Children’s Museum offer ‘All Day Arts’ Bus Fund and Collaborative Tour program (05/30/2012)

Thanks to generous grant support from the Winona Foundation, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (aka the MMAM in Winona) reimburses busing expenses for student groups. This funding at the MMAM is expected to last at least through the summer of 2012. More recently, the Children’s Museum of La Crosse received similar funding from the La Crosse Community Foundation and the Norman L. Gillette Sr. Family Fund. A collaborative “All Day Arts” Winona/La-Crosse Youth Tour program was born, and groups can now take advantage of this opportunity.

While funding is available, this collaborative tour program offers groups of 10 or more youth to tour the amazing collections and exhibitions at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum and experience the fun and interactive environment of the Children’s Museum of La Crosse without the burden of paying for bussing. Because the transportation expenses are reimbursed, the only expense is an $8 per student admission fee, which covers entrance into both museums.
