At 1:39 a.m. deputies arrested Maranda Marie Snead, 22, of Winona, for fleeing in a motor vehicle, stop sign violation, speeding, careless driving and passing in a no passing zone after she failed to stop at a stop sign near Huff and Third streets. Snead proceeded to pass a vehicle on Huff Street in a no passing zone while driving a visual estimate of 50 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. She stopped near Harriet and Seventh streets and two passengers were detained for safety reasons. Snead had a preliminary breath test of .04 percent.

At 2:23 p.m. Police cited Arne Erik Sippola, 61, of Winona, for leaving the scene of an accident after he hit a parked car in the Gildemeister parking lot at Winona State University.
At 10:53 a.m. police responded to a report that someone broke into a game machine at the Quality Inn.
Sunday, May 27
At 1:44 a.m. police arrested Andrew Michael Clemans, 20,of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated and speeding after he was stopped for speeding near Hwy. 61 and Pelzer Street. Clemans had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent. A passenger, Alis Marie Connor, 19, of Winona, was ticketed for underage consumption.
