Registration is now being accepted for the Winona Health Auxiliary Summer Junior Volunteer Program.
The Junior Volunteer Program is a volunteer opportunity designed to offer students age 10 through 18 an opportunity to learn about healthcare, earn volunteer hours for school or church, make a difference in the community, gain experience for their resume—and have fun. The program runs June 18 to August 17. There are morning and afternoon shifts available two to three days per week.
There are several volunteer opportunities available including enriching the lives of our residents in our nursing home or assisted living residences by visiting one-on-one with them, doing activities together, reading or playing games. There is also an opportunity to work with our Facilities staff doing a variety of activities throughout the Winona Health campus including outdoor projects such as tending to the landscaping and flower gardens.
To sign up for the program, complete the registration form and return it to Winona Health. Forms may be downloaded online at www.winonahealth.org. For more information or to request a form to be mailed to you, please contact the Winona Health Volunteer Office at 507.457.4394.
