6:00 PM Saturday, June 16
Houston Nature Center
Make your own mini clay pot the same way that Native Americans did it! All materials including clay, mussel shells, and rocks will be provided, but be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Pots will need to dry for at least a month before firing, and participants are invited to come back for a second program to fire the pots and learn about wild edible plants on August 11 at 6:00 PM.
Pre-registration is required and is limited to 20 participants. There is no charge for this program, but donations are encouraged.
The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Highways 16 and 76 in Houston on West Plum Street in Trailhead Park. For more information or to register for the program contact the Nature Center at 507-896-4668 or nature@acegroup.cc.
