On June 23rd, the Lew Jewett Chapter of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) is going to put on a full day of fly fishing workshops for us around Preston. We’ll begin the day at 10:00 am with fly casting and fly tying, and later in the day, there will be an opportunity to take your new skills out onto the stream with some one-on-one fly fishing instruction. Beginners and seasoned fishermen alike are welcome to attend. FFF instructors are the best of the best, so you won’t want to miss this opportunity!
For a different angle on trout fishing, join us for Jeff Broberg’s spin fishing program on June 30th. Jeff is President of the Minnesota Trout Association and a member of the NTC Board of Directors. For years, Jeff has been fishing on the Root River through Preston, and he has recently let the world in on his secret spots by designing and promoting Preston’s Inaugural 9-Hole Fishing Course! Participate in our spin fishing program on the 30th, and then test your techniques on the new fishing course!

September 14th-16th - Driftless Area Rendezvous at Whitewater State Park hosted by Hiawatha Trout Unlimited.
