Friday, June 8

At 8:46 a.m. Verizon Wireless technician Richard Ebert reported 30 ft. of copper wire stolen from a generator at 11032 County Road 35. The report said Ebert was working on a generator in a fenced in area on the property when he noticed three cords of copper wire had been cut from the generator.

At 11:45 a.m. George Mundt, of Utica, reported an unknown amount of gas stolen from his gas tank on Sandstone Road. Mundt stated he saw a car driving away from the gas tank on his property around 1:45 a.m.

Saturday, June 9

At 2:09 a.m. police arrested Jesse Thomas Brunner, 24, of Arden Hills, for third degree driving while intoxicated after he was stopped at the corner of Ninth and Main Street. The police report said Brunner stopped at the foot of the Interstate bridge before turning onto Fourth Street. Brunner then ran a red flashing light. His blood alcohol content was .22.

At 3:12 a.m. police arrested John Paul Munson, 22, of Winona, for first degree burglary, fifth degree assault causing fear, misdemeanor criminal damage to property and fourth degree driving while intoxicated. The police report stated Munson had gone to a house in the 300 block of Center Street to find a female. Police were called when Munson used his keys to tear a window screen and enter the residence. His blood alcohol content was .12.

At 4:15 a.m. police ticketed Michael Fitzpatrick Sullivan, 20, for minor consumption after officers noticed him at Hardees on Fifth Street.

At 5:35 p.m., a male in the 1150 block of West Mark Street reported a stainless steel bug deflector missing from his garage. There was no sign of forced entry. The deflector was valued at $200.

Sunday, June 10

At 5:19 a.m. police arrested Cody Preston Walter, 22, of Zumbrota, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated and careless driving. The police report stated Walter was southbound on Huff Street at excessive speed and turned quickly into Kwik Trip on Huff and Sarnia Street. His blood alcohol content was .09.

At 8:07 p.m. police ticketed Lenny Paul Huwald, 49, of Winona, for obstruction and disorderly conduct after he was removed from a residence in the 500 block of East 8th Street. The police report stated Huwald was intoxicated and refused to leave the residence. His blood alcohol content was .32.

At 9:42 p.m. police ticketed Draconis Vehtesse Four Twenty, 34, of Winona, for violating an order for protection at a residence in the 50 block of Carimona Street.

Monday, June 11

At 8:20 a.m. the owner of a house boat in the East End Boat Harbor reported his door had been pried open and he was missing about $735 worth of sporting good equipment.

Tuesday, June 12

At 1:40 a.m. police arrested Samuel Kayode Tolu Olanipekun, 22, of Lakeville, with fourth degree driving while intoxicated after police observed his vehicle nearly hitting another parked vehicle. Officers made the stop between Fifth and Sixth Streets and Huff Street. His blood alcohol content was .19.

Bryce Garrigan Nesberg, 21, of Winona, has been charged with three counts of fifth degree possession of a controlled substance dating to May 2012. Police initiated three controlled buys with Nesberg last month. Nesberg provided the police buyer with multiple bags of marijuana testing positive for tetrahydrocannabinol, THC. The hearing date for this case is July 17, 2012, at 11 a.m.
