The City of Winona and Winona County will host a public informational meeting on state regulations and
permitting for frac sand operations. Four state agencies will present on the following topics related to frac sand:
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources – Frac sand operations in Minnesota, Minnesota Department of Health – Frac sand operations: public health issues, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency – Environmental permitting, environmental review, Minnesota Department of Transportation – Trucking, roads, bridges.
Wednesday, June 20, 6-8:30 p.m., Agency representatives 6 and 7:45 p.m.,question and answer session 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Winona Middle School Auditorium, 1570 Homer Road.
