The second Project FINE Cultural Arts & Ancestry workshop will be held on Tuesday June 19 from 5-7pm at the Winona Senior High School. This session will focus on Mexican Culture, and will include a cultural presentation and a demonstration on creating Mexican talavera-style painted tiles. The public is welcome to attend, however prior registration is required. For more information or to register, please contact Project FINE at 452-4100 or email info@projectfine.org.
This session is part of a series of six Cultural Arts & Ancestry workshops that provide hands-on experiences and background information on various cultures. As a result of this project, participants learn about the art traditions and heritage of others and have the opportunity to create and display their art pieces at a community capstone event in March 2013.
This activity is funded by the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council through the Minnesota arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 and by the Winona Fine Arts Commission.
