At 2 a.m. a deputy arrested Bryan John Feils, 23, of Kellogg, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated. The deputy pulled over Feils on Highway 61 near Lock and Dam 5 after he noticed the driver crossing the center line and driving at inconsistent speeds. Feils had a blood alcohol content of .11.
At 3:20 p.m. a deputy arrested Johnathan Daniel Thesing, 22, of La Crescent, for violation of compliance with his predatory offender status and driving with a revoked license. Thesing was pulled over on County Road 1 and Lanes Valley Road. He had not registered his vehicle or updated his work status. Thesing is referred to the county attorney.
Saturday, June 16
At 2:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to assist a Winona police officer with a traffic stop at the corner of 7th Street and Harriet Street. The deputy arrested America Hernandez, 23, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated. Hernandez had a blood alcohol content of .12.
Friday, June 15
At 3:27 a.m. police ticketed Dustin Russell Richards, 22, of Winona, with trespassing and criminal damage after he forced open a door at a femaleís apartment in the 100 block of East 7th Street. The estimated cost of damage is $85.
Saturday, June 16
At 2:13 p.m. a female in the 650 block of East 7th Street reported the windshield of her vehicle parked in the garage had been smashed. There was no sign of forced entry.
At 11 p.m. police arrested Ghaleb Nasser F. Aldossary, 21, of Winona, for fifth degree domestic assault causing harm. Police responded to a call that Aldossary had pushed and slapped a female at a residence in the 500 block of Huff Street.
At 1:53 a.m. police arrested Angel Nephi Hernandez, 21, of Winona, for fourth degree assault on an officer and transfer of bodily fluids after Hernandez spit on the arresting officer. During the traffic stop at 7th Street and Harriet Street, the officer ticketed Brittany Nicole Polus, 20, of Winona, Paige Marie Dubois, 20, of Winona, and Enrique Fuentes-Lara, 20, of Winona, with minor consumption.
Sunday, June 17
At 2:07 p.m. a 22-year-old female from Minneapolis reported her Sony A57 digital camera and two lenses missing from her vehicle at Verchota Landing. The report states the female parked her vehicle at the landing around noon and returned at 2 p.m. to find the camera missing. The female said she had left her car unlocked and windows down. The estimated cost of the stolen camera is $1,159.
Monday, June 18
At 1:29 a.m. police responded to an accident in the 800 block of West 6th Street. Jessica Jean Erdmann, 22, of Winona, was westbound on 6th street and preparing to turn southbound on Baker Street when she lost control of her vehicle and hit a parked car. Erdmann was transported to the hospital. No charges were filed due to pending blood alcohol tests.
At 8:22 a.m. a male reported 25 used appliances had been stolen from behind Volkmann Appliance on Main Street. The estimated cost of the stolen appliances is $200.
At 10:53 a.m. a Washburn, Wis., resident reported his bicycle stolen from Lake Lodge. The bike is a Specialized yellow and blue mountain bike.
At 1:43 p.m. police arrested Scott Demarco Newman-Birch, 26, of Winona, for fifth degree domestic assault causing harm at a residence in Winona. The victim called police and said Newman-Birch was on his way to Wells Fargo on Parks Avenue. Police found him there and also found he had no insurance or driverís license, was driving with the wrong license plates and had a warrant for his arrest. Newman-Birch is being referred to the county attorney.
At 2:40 p.m. the driver of a semi truck trailer reported bullet holes in his trailer that was in the 150 block of Steuben Street. The driver said he had recently driven the trailer to California and just now noticed the bullet holes. The estimated cost of damage is $1,000.
A criminal complaint has been filed against Abbi Louise Baader, 22, of Winona. Baader is charged with one count of theft of a controlled substance. The report states a health care provider was contacted by the victim who said nearly 30 pills of prescription morphine were stolen from her. The victim said Baader was an in-home care provider for her. The case is being referred to the county attorney. Baader has a hearing date of July 17 at 11 a.m.
A criminal complaint has been filed against Heather Lynn Kieffer, 35, of Winona. Kieffer is charged with one count of forgery, one count of identity theft, one count of procuring a legend drug using a false name and one count of attempted theft by swindle. The report states Kieffer was picking up a prescription for Tramadol from a womanís house in St. Charles. Kieffer forged the womanís signature on a money order to pay for the package. The case is being referred to the county attorney. Kieffer has a hearing date of July 19 at 11 a.m.
