If we found a cure for cancer, would we keep it a secret? Of course not! We would want this lifesaving discovery to become known to the entire world. We would want this remarkable discovery broadcast on every news network around the globe.
Can we imagine anyone becoming angry at the person who discovered a cure for cancer, because he or she wanted to inform us about his cure for this dreadful disease? Wouldn’t the world want to give this person a resounding thank you? Undoubtedly this person would become the most appreciated and the most notable and praiseworthy person on earth.
This person certainly did the right thing by telling everyone about a cure that could save a great number of people from so much suffering and death. Everyone would expect this person to tell everyone about this cure for cancer. Right? Absolutely. Well what about someone telling us of a plan that would save us from having to suffer in a most horrible place for eternity? Why would we get angry at someone giving us God’s plan that would give us absolute assurance of not having to spend eternity in hell?
It is difficult to comprehend why so many of us go ballistic (even members of our own family) when someone begins to give us God’s plan of salvation. Why? We should be embracing, thanking and encouraging those who have a genuine concern and willingness to warn us of certain impending and eternal doom if we reject Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
We will gladly accept anything that will prevent and ensure us of not having to suffer from a dreadful disease, but many of us reject a God- given plan which can and will prevent and ensure us of not having to suffer in a most painful place for eternity. Are we going to be saying (in hell), “Why didn’t you tell me?”
