At 1:49 p.m. police ticketed Jennifer Lynn Huwald, 27, of Winona, for shoplifting after she allegedly took a vacuum, valued at $599, from Walmart.
Friday, June 22
At 10:46 a.m. police ticketed Phyllis Jane Weaver, 23, of Winona, for shoplifting after she allegedly took an RCA audio cable, valued at $12.29, from Fleet Farm.
At 6:00 p.m. police ticketed Jeffrey Scott Huwald, 47, for disorderly conduct after he was cursing and acting belligerent to the nurses caring for him in detox.
Saturday, June 23
At 1:16 a.m. police ticketed Jordan Richard Jarland, 20, of Harmony, for minor consumption of alcohol. Police saw Jarland hanging onto a boat in the 100 block of East Third Street. His blood alcohol content was .20 percent.
At 3:36 p.m., police ticketed Timothy Paul Schmalenberg, of Winona, for theft at the Walmart on Frontenac Drive. An employee said she noticed Schmalenberg suspiciously wandering through the meat, apparel and jewelry aisles. Schmalenberg proceeded through the self-checkout lane and was stopped outside past the point of sale. Inside a bag were 17 packages of various meats valued at $213.01.
At 7:03 p.m. police ticketed Veda Jean Haxton, 18, of Winona, for giving officers a false name and date of birth. Police stopped a vehicle during a routine traffic stop at Fourth and Zumbro streets and Haxton was a passenger. She gave the name of her sister.
At 11:21 p.m. police responded to a hit and run accident at the corner of Fourth and Wilson streets. Michael James Muras, 20, of Goodview, was driving a 2005 white Pontiac G6 westbound on Fourth Street when he collided with two legally parked vehicles. Muras fled on foot but turned himself in the next day. He was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident.
Sunday, June 24
At 12:31 a.m. police ticketed Andrew Michael Clemans, 20, of Winona, for minor consumption of alcohol. Police responded to a call of someone breaking into cars and found Clemans in the area. Clemans fled on foot but was caught at the corner of Seventh and Ewing streets. His blood alcohol content was .16 percent.
At 3:17 a.m. a male reported a burglary at his residence in the 150 block of East Ninth Street. The victim said his front door was unlocked and an Xbox and other related gaming equipment was stolen. The estimated cost of the stolen items is $223.
At 8:44 a.m. a resident in the 800 block of West Broadway reported his two vehicles parked in his driveway had been broken into. The victim reported a pair of binoculars, sunglasses, keys, and a YMCA barcode card had been stolen. The estimated cost of the stolen items is $170.
Sunday, June 24
At 5:40 a.m. deputies ticketed Anthony Leroy Thelen, 26, of Lewiston, for obstruction of the legal process at a campground near Elba. Deputies were following up a previous report that Thelen was making threats.
