The next meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Marines will be held on Thursday 5 July at 7:00 p.m. at the Winona Area Veterans Center. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the USMC are encouraged to attend. Agenda items will include a review of June’s activities and plans for the Goodview Parade and Picnic. Orders for the HVM Challenge Coins will be accepted at this meeting.
Cathedral’s Young At Heart group will meet on July 5, starting with a 12:10 p.m. Mass for those who wish to attend. It will be followed by a lunch at 12:45 p.m. of beef stew, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, creamy mandarin orange salad, roll, 7 layer bars and a beverage. The cost of the meal is $3.00. After lunch we will be playing bingo. If you can, please bring a small prize for the bingo pot. RESERVATIONS are a MUST and NONE WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE. The DEADLINE for reservations is Monday, July 2. Please call Marge at 454-3433 no later than July 2nd for reservations and if you need a ride. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!
The Minnesota City First Baptist Church Ladies Aid will hold their annual picnic July 5, at 1 p.m. at the home of Jean Gardner.
July 11
Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold their regular monthly board meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the Winona County Fair (Entertainment Tent) in St. Charles. The board and staff will take questions and comments from the public following the regular meeting (at approximately 11:30 a.m.)
