Past Missteps Imposed on a People by The Governing Bodies that continue to claim we are governed “by the people.” Oh, please let not our majority become the people that this out-of-control governing body has been working for many years to cause. Amen.
So a little of what happened in a small amount time (decisions made by the Supreme Courts of our land):
1962 Engel v Vitale. School prayer is restricted. A chunk of our freedom of speech taken. Gone.
1973 Roe v Wade. The unborn now legally vulnerable thereby making the future of this people less of a priority what happened to “by the people?” (“The choice” to kill our unborn during pregnancy. Pregnancy defined as being “with child” 1956 Webster
1980 Stone v Graham. Ten Commandments 1st removal
1994 Madsen v Women’s Health Center. 32 years after prayer taken from schools, the court of the land sides with clinics designed to kill unborn babies, taking away more of our 1st amend. rights by further restricting freedom of speech. 2000 Sante Fe, Texas isd v Doe. The students’ right (to prayer—said, at least at athletic events) that had been promised to be retained gets erased, removed, deleted, taken away in the year 2000, just 38 years after the promise was made. Pay attention to how the years for time to pass diminish as people get more socialized and thus more accepting.
2003 Lawrence v Texas get this. The Supreme Court eliminates a Texas law that had held the act of sodomy as a felony crime. Say what? Making that abominable act come to be seen as something acceptable! To the past, present and future according to this entirely different (and very bad) new swing on the way people had, did, and will continue to perceive this type of behavior. Socialized.
What’s the title of this article? And the rest of the sentence? And pay attention to the lessening of the years in between and the downward spiraling effect that the passage of such manly laws have on the health and wellbeing of a people and their culture.
We as a people must get back to God our Maker, our Creator, who created us in His own image. (hello!?)
II Chronicles 7:14
If My People, which are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; Then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
