Do you find it difficult to cook for “just yourself”? Many people feel this way, but there are secrets to making it easier. Katie Dempsey, Environmental Health Sanitarian from La Crosse County Department of Health, will share her knowledge on “Cooking for Households of One or Two” from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m, Monday, August 6, at Winona Volunteer Services.
Katie will help you discover that you are not “alone” when it comes to cooking for one or two. She’ll go over:
Stocking your freezer and pantry
Batch cooking- even if you live alone!
Food safety
How to cook healthy meals
Plus, you’ll get a chance to sample what we make!
Attendees will have a chance to win a “Small Households” cookbook.. To reserve your place, please call Volunteer Services at 452-5591 by Friday, August 3.
