Yes, ‘whodunit?’ was the question when I saw your page one article on the summer art show of the Fine Artists of Southeast Minnesota. A very good, informative article, including pictures of 4 of the works of art on exhibit.
The first of the three paintings opening the article looked familiar. “That must be the artist,” I thought, but I’d never seen the man holding the artwork, and I was sure I’d seen that. Looking at the write up of the pictures, I was more puzzled than ever. Two works, by Kent Espe and Monica Veraguth were identified, and writer and photographer as well. I looked again at the first painting - Dennis Jennings, it said, hanging the paintings. No help there, but I knew that scene! The colorful, casual crowd, the puffy white clouds floating in a clear summer sky... It was my son’s!
And so I write as a mom, eager to brag about my son, Tim Parker, who painted that scene of the State Fair. Go see it!
