9 p.m.: Universe in the Park
Billions and billions of stars...join UW-Madison Astronomy folks for an amazing view of the night sky! Our program will begin at the Nature Center with a short presentation and then proceed to the prairie for a telescopic view of celestial wonders! Bug spray is highly recommended.
Saturday, July 21
1 p.m.: Are You Me?
Parents and children are invited to search for colorful eggs hidden around the Nature Center! Inside the eggs are photos of animal parents and their babies, and your job is to pair them up.
4 p.m.: Invasives in Our Midst
Find out about invasive plants and animals threatening our lands and waters. Andrea will have a variety of information to help you understand the threat posed by invasive species. Take home material will be available. Short videos will be available for on-demand watching.
7 p.m.: Mighty Moundbuilders
Imagine a time when everything you needed came directly from the world around you. Beginning with a short video about prehistoric people, we will explore the world of the ancient Mound Builders. A short walk to nearby mounds will complete the program.
