From: David Enright
I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (Gal. 1: 6-7) Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you saying ‘this people draw near me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, but in vain do worship me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.’ (Mt. 15: 8-9)
I know what your church teaches you, it is very clear in your letters, but it is not true. They say to you, “it’s okay, he is in a better place now, he is in heaven with God watching over us now, don’t worry.” Our loved ones do not watch over us when they die, because if they did, they would sorrow greatly when they see the suffering and pain that is in this world, just as you said in your letter. In Rev. 21:4 it says that God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.
When a person dies, their SOUL goes to a place which God called a “grave” and God keeps them there until the Judgment Day which God calls the “last day.” Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the GRAVES shall hear His voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good to the RESURRECTION of life, and they that have done evil to the RESURRECTION of damnation (John 5:282-29)
Jesus saith unto Martha, thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the RESURRECTION at the LAST DAY (John 11:23-24) Paul the Apostle said in 2 Tim. 4:6-8 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my DEPARTURE is at hand, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at THAT DAY, and not to me only but to all those that love His appearing.
As you read through the Bible, when people die, saved or unsaved, God says that their soul is “asleep,” for example: (I Kings 11:43) And Solomon SLEPT with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. (2 Chron. 26:23) So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belongeth to the kings.
(1 Thess. 4:13-17 But I would not that you be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are ASLEEP, that you sorrow now. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which SLEEP in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say into you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are ASLEEP. For the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the DEAD IN CHRIST shall rise FIRST: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with THEM in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
(Matt. 25:31-34) When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. It is at this time, that people who God shows mercy on, inherit the kingdom, and not before! Oh, but what about the thief on the cross, “this day” will you be with me in paradise! You have to read everywhere God talks about “paradise.”
So here is the question! Is your son who passed away looking down from heaven with a sorrowful heart, like you stated in your letter, or is his soul still in the grave waiting for the resurrection at the last day?
