|
On July 21, at 10:14 p.m. the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s deputies, Whitehall police and fire department and Whitehall ambulance were dispatched to County Road O, northeast of County Road D south of Von Uhl Lane in the Town of Hale, to investigate a report from a motorist of striking a pedestrian. Upon arrival, the driver, Bradley B. Olson, of Whitehall, Wis., reported he was northbound on County O when he slowed his speed for a person walking southbound in the southbound lane. The driver reported the person ran out in front of his vehicle without warning. The driver called 911 and never saw the person again. Olson said the person walking was a Hispanic male wearing a white tank top. The area was searched with manpower and a thermal camera and no injured person was found. There was minimal damage to the vehicle.
The accident is still under investigation and if anyone has any information about an injured person relating to this incident please contact the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department.
