Winona Health Auxiliary Books are Fun book sale

Wed August 1 and Thu, August 2, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Clinic lobby at Winona Health, 859 Mankato Ave. Winona.

Wide variety of high quality new books and products that inform, enrich, entertain, and inspire people of all ages including New York Times bestsellers; children’s storybooks, classics and educational books; stationery and gift items; and general interest books such as cooking, sports, gardening, reference and multicultural titles. Proceeds go towards enhancing the healing environment for our hospital patients in addition to providing scholarships to students pursuing a career in healthcare. CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers

Mon August 6, 12 – 5 p.m.

Winona Health BA Miller Auditorium, 3rd floor of hospital, 855 Mankato Ave. Winona.

In this course, you will learn the skills of CPR for victims of all ages including how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and how to relieve choking. You will learn how to recognize emergencies such as sudden cardiac arrest and how to respond to them. Please stop in HR office to pick up a book to look over before class. Cost is $80. Family to Family Support Group

Do you have a loved one living with a mental illness? If so, this support group provides a place for you that offers information, respect, encouragement, understanding and hope. COPD Support Group (NEW!)

Wed August 15, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Winona Health, Lake Winona Manor Classroom, 855 Mankato Ave., Winona.

Winona Health respiratory therapist, Bob Elam, RT, will facilitate a monthly support group for those dealing with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This is an opportunity to ask questions, share tips and challenges with others who have COPD or are caring for a person who has COPD.
