HBC CEO Gary Evans is lacing up his dancing shoes for charity. He will be performing in the 4th Annual Dancing With Winona Stars 2012 charity event and silent auction on Saturday, August 11. Evans will be dancing on behalf of Winona Health.
“Refurbishment of the facilities used and replacement of the equipment necessary to administer cancer treatments at Winona Health is the project I have selected as my charity,” said Evans. “Equipment and renovation will cost $30,000, the bulk of which will be used to purchase specialty chairs used in delivery of the treatments.”
“This year 100 percent of the donations go to the directed charities and are tax deductible,” said Melanie Messmann, one of the event coordinators. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Gotta Dance’s competition team dancers, helping fund competitions and convention trips.
Tickets to the event are available at HBC and Midtown Foods. While donations to any charity are always welcome, they must be processed though the Dancing with Winona Stars event to be counted as votes for this event.
