‘Live Well Winona’ program August 9 at Historical Society (08/01/2012)
Spirituality, Healthy Living and Long Life:

Do the faithful really live longer?

Sponsored by Live Well Winona

August 9, 2012, 5:00 to 6:00 pm

Winona County Historical Society

Speakers:

Dr. Jonathan D. Quick, Management Sciences for Health and Harvard Medical School

Janneke C. Quick, Live Well Winona

Winona is one of the healthier communities in Minnesota, according to the State Department of Health. At Live Well Winona we believe Winonans could be even healthier and live even longer lives. For improved health we address five dimensions: spiritual, social, physical, occupational, and intellectual.

In this lecture-discussion we will explore the spiritual dimension of health from Biblical and scientific perspectives.

From Moses’ 3500 year old preventive health instructions, to Christ’s numerous healing miracles, to Paul’s recognition of self-control as one of the fruits of the spirit, the Bible speaks clearly to us on the value of personal health and importance of healthy living.

Join us for an informative presentation and lively discussion. It could add healthy years to your life!

Light refreshments provided. Event is free and open to the public.

Please reserve your seat by calling 507-474-9825 or emailing info@livewellwinona.org
