The painting “Hollow” by Winona area artist Monica Veraguth will be on display at Altered Esthetics in Minneapolis, Minn. as part of their current exhibit “Anger, Angst and Art”.
“Hollow” focuses on emotion. Through a face void of expression, and exaggeratedly hollow eyes that create a sense of emptiness. Diluted of color and vibrancy, the pure lack of features creates the most emotion.
Altered Esthetics is a non-profit community-based art gallery and arts advocacy organization located in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. They believe artists represent a voice of society and their mission is to support and expand a vibrant arts community.
An opening reception will take place Friday, August 3 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. The exhibit will continue through the end of August. Altered Esthetics is located at 1224 Quincy St NE, Minneapolis, Minn.
