Janice M. Brandes, age 68, of Winona, Minn., died on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Lake Winona Manor.
Janice was born on September 23, 1943, in Arcadia, Wis., to Cyril and Frances (Klimek) Pehler, Sr. On September 7, 1968, she was united in marriage with Jack W. Brandes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, Wis. he preceded her in death on October 5, 2006.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka and had been previously employed at Randall Foods and Peerless Chain.
Janice is survived by her son, Kurt (Lisa) Brandes, Andover, Minn., grandchildren, Jack Brandes, Olivia Brandes and Sarah Brandes, all of Andover, Minn., brother, Cyril “Sonny” (Linda) Pehler, Jr., Trempealeau, Wis., sister, Alice (LeRoy) Heftman, St. Paul, Minn., brother-in-law, Robert (Marion) Brandes, Winona, Minn., nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI.
Father Gerry Pehler and Father Raj will concelebrate.
Janice will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pine Creek, Wis.
There will not be any visitation on Wednesday – Please meet at the church for Mass.
Pallbearers will be Jack Brandes, Brian Pehler, Trisha Pehler, Denny Lettner, Laurelle Lettner and Brett Lettner.
