Darlene “Dar” McNish, age 86, passed away peacefully at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston on Monday, August 6, 2012.
Dar was born on May 10, 1926, at Stockton to George and Merl (Henderson) Gaulke. She married Heber “Mack” McNish on December 24, 1952; they were later divorced.
“Mom” had been employed by Leicht Press in Winona and she retired in 1992 from Wincraft. Mom enjoyed her soaps, word puzzles, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Heber McNish and brother, Leonard Gaulke.
Dar will be greatly missed by her four children, Duane (Charotte) Gaulke, Roger (Sue) McNish, Sharon (Chris) De Witte and Robert (Debbie) McNish; grandchildren Lea (Marc) Mickschl, Katie (Paul) Schmitz, Travis De Witte, Becky De Witte, Beth Ann (Mark) Holt/Radam and Krystal Pickler; great grandchildren, Samantha and Nicholas Schmitz, Jaylon and Jahliah Patterson and Breanna and Beaverly Hahn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012, at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Tom Schoen, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.,
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home.
