Bernice C. Trester, age 91, of Lewiston, Minn., died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Lake Winona Manor.
Bernice was born on January 11, 1921, in Warren Township, Minnesota, to William and Elizabeth (Braatz) Bublitz. On June 14, 1940, she was united in marriage with Willard J. Trester, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Wilson, Minn. They were longtime farmers in the Lewiston area. Willard preceded her in death on September 16, 2008.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, Minn. Bernice enjoyed gardening and flowers, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Bernice is survived by her sons, Richard (Jean) Trester, Lewiston, Minn., and Ronald (Jean) Trester, Winona, Minn., five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewiston, Minn. The Reverend Michael A. Lindemann and the Reverend John Dermé will officiate. Bernice will be laid to rest in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Wilson, Minn.
Visitation will be held St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, on Saturday, August 25, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
