Winona Friends
We want to say what a great time and opportunity we had Sunday, August 19, at the Commonweal Theater in Lanesboro. We saw a hilarious professional live performance of “The Philadelphia Story,” but the Winona Friends event afterward made a perfect day of theatre. Winona Friends is an informal group which sets one date for each of the Commonweal plays during their season and invites all Winona and area people to join in. It is a pot-luck; and a special part is that the actors/technicians, who just entertained us, join in. The conversations may include their careers, preparing for their roles, frustrations, and anything else. Also, Commonweal staff fill us in on behind-the-scenes activity, special plans, future ideas, etc. The Winona Friends gives us a chance to be a part of all of this. There is no membership, or dues, just a good time and the opportunity to do more than go to the play and then go home.
Join us at the next Friends event October 14. Bring a carload - the more the merrier.
