On Thursday, September 6, at 11:25 a.m. the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a two motorcycle accident with two injured in the City of Alma at the intersection of HY 35 and Spring Creek Road.
A 2012 Harley Davidson driven by Timothy Bode, 45, of Buffalo, Minn., was southbound on HY 35 and attempting to make a left turn onto Spring Creek Road. A 1976 Honda driven by Craig Bechthold, 56, of Plymouth, Minn., was also southbound on HY 35 and rear-ended the 2012 Harley, causing both motorcycles to slide on their side to a stop, throwing the drivers from the motorcycles.
Bode received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Wabasha hospital by Alma Ambulance. Bechthold was transported by Mayo Air Ambulance for his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
