WH free depression screening October 11 (09/19/2012)
Winona Health Psychiatric & Counseling Services is offering free, confidential depression screenings on Thursday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Winona Health’s 3rd floor, B.A. Miller Auditorium, 855 Mankato Avenue.

“One out of every five adults may experience depression at some point in their lives,” said Betsy Rowekamp, Winona Health certified psychiatric registered nurse. “We want people to know that help is available and that they can feel better.”

Common symptoms of depression include any of the following:

A persistent feeling of sadness

Loss of pleasure in usually enjoyable activities

Feeling of hopelessness, helplessness and worthlessness

Changes in sleep patterns and appetite

Loss of energy

Restlessness

Thoughts of death or suicide

No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential screening. The screening will take approximately 30 minutes. For more information regarding the free depression screening, or to learn more about Winona Health Psychiatric & Counseling Services, call 507.454.2606.
