Lucas John Volker, 36, of St. Cloud, Minn., formerly of Winona and Rochester, died September 9, 2012, in Bismarck, N.D., as a result of a construction accident.
He was born July 10, 1976 in Winona.
Lucas is survived by his wife, Sarah, of Sartell, Minn.; two sons, Jacob and Thomas Volker at home in Sartell; his father, Richard (Jo Ann) Volker, of Rochester, Minn.; his mother, Debra Volker, of Winona; two sisters, Tami (Scott) Rushing of Dundas, Minn., and Jennifer (Brett) Mattson of Rochester; two brothers, Matthew (Crystal) Volker of Rushford, Minn., and Jonathan Volker of Rochester; paternal grandmother, Betty Volker, of Fredricksburg, Iowa; his maternal grandmother, Joy Quigley, of Tripoli, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, an uncle, and his brother Jacob.
Burial, with military honors by American Legion Post #92, was Friday, September 14, at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester, Minn.
