The second annual cut-a-thon/massage and book signing fundraiser for mental health in Winona will be held in memory of Anna Mulkey on Saturday, September 29 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church, 1363 Homer Rd., Winona.
Wet haircuts and massages will be provided for $10 each.
Winona author, Dorothy Ruppert, will be on hand to sell and sign her book, “God Placed Her in My Path – Lessons Learned from the Furnace of Bipolar Disorder.” Three dollars from each book sold will be donated to NAMI-Winona. There will be extensive information on mental illnesses available. Funds raised will be used by the NAMI-Winona Affiliate to provide services, support and education for local citizens who live with mental illness and for their families.
Co-sponsors for this event include Wendy Sandvig, owner of Nostallja Studio, local massage therapists, Dorothy Ruppert, NAMI-Winona and many area volunteers. Cash donations can be sent to NAMI-Winona, P.O. Box 1063, Winona, MN 55987
