On September 23, at 11:15 p.m. the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department received a call of an accident on State Road 121 near County Road BB in the town of Burnside, near Independence.
A vehicle driven by Steven A. Roskos was traveling east on State Road 121 near County Road BB, when attempting to negotiate a curve, when Roskos hit the shoulder and lost control of the vehicle, which crossed both lanes of traffic, entered the ditch, rolled several times and ended up on its roof in a creek approximately 3 feet deep. Officers on the scene pulled Roskos from the partially water-filled vehicle to safety. Roskos was arrested for 3rd offense operating while intoxicated, failure to maintain control of vehicle and operating after revocation.
