Cue the tints of orange, red and yellow—autumn is officially in full swing. With the entrance of fall comes the 20th Annual Smaczne Jablka, or Apple Day in Winona. Hosted by the Polish Museum, the yearly Apple Day festival is a family-friendly, fun-filled afternoon of apple pie and Polish traditions.
Area residents Jane Sura and Mary Speltz will be selling their homemade goodies at the Liberty Street Farmers Market and an array of Polish cuisine will be on the menu.
Local vendors and craftsmiths will be selling handmade jewelry and crafts, and participants have the chance to win a one-week stay in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Vietnamese musicians and the International Dancers will provide entertainment for all ages throughout the afternoon that is guaranteed to get your hands clapping and your feet moving.
Raffle tickets for the trip, Joan McGill jewelry, Edel-Beyer crystal and a Cichanowski Wenonah canoe can be bought at the museum for $20 or by sending a check to 102 Liberty Street, Winona, MN.
Apple Day is Sunday, October 7, 2012, beginning at noon at the Polish Museum.
