The Winona Mayor and City Council members could see a raise in salary Monday that mirrors the percentage increase that current union employees are receiving.
The proposed adjustment to salaries is a 1 percent increase in January 2013 and a half percent increase in July 2013, tentatively effective after the November election.
The proposed salary increase would restore a $500 reduction that was cut in 2009, and provide a salary increase, raising the Mayor’s yearly salary to $9,407 and City Council’s yearly salary to $6,696.
The council is expected to vote on the proposed increases during the City Council meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Winona City Hall.
