On Saturday, September 22, about 230 hardy folks showed up at the Jaycee Pavilion in the cold and wind to try their hand at some fun art form. Family Art Day was made possible by the generous donations from Slaggie Family Foundation, Elizabeth Callender King Foundation, area businesses, MMAM, Park and Rec Dept., and an anonymous donor. River Arts Alliance would like to thank each and every one of them for making it possible for the children and adults to have unique art experiences.
We would also like to thank all of our wonderful artists for their time and effort in making Family Art Day a truly wonder-filled day. These artists included: Jill Krase, John Durfey, Dirk Nelson, Leslie Zantow, Carol Jacobs, Jennie Rafferty, Tom Dukich, Patty Albrecht, Emerald Hulsing, Walken Ratajczyk, Barbara Feiten, Julia Crozier, Kathy Delano, Morro Schreiber, Dan Grimslid, Ray and Margaret Kiihne, Kirissa Grams, Bea Salisbury, Rachel Vogel, Anne Plummer, Jack Zantow, Jill Marie Pigott, Joe Pigott, Michelle Cochran, Joan McNeil, Heather Casper and her crew from the Marine Art Museum, and the students from WSU, Abigail Sparks, Casie Rafferty, Yingxi Ji and Linxiao Zhao who came to help, as well as ace volunteer AJ Panicci. We are truly blessed in Winona with all these creative minds willing to help stimulate emerging creative minds. We thank you again.
