At 11:04 p.m. deputies ticketed Sue Lor, 30, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after a deputy saw Lor fail to stop at a stop sign near Fifth and Sebo streets. The officer detected an odor of alcohol on Lor and administered a preliminary breath test. Lor had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent.
Sunday, Sept 30
At 9:23 p.m. deputies arrested and referred Bradley Brevig, 26, of Houston, for charges of felony sexual assault after deputies received a report from Gundersen Lutheran hospital of a 17-year-old female who said she was sexually assaulted by Brevig.
At 5:10 p.m. police ticketed Brady Lee McCollum-Walterman, 23, of Winona, for careless driving, driving with a revoked license, displaying revoked license plates and displaying no proof of insurance after police stopped him for squealing his tires throughout the 500 block of West Fifth Street for an extended period of time.
Friday, September 28
At 9:03 a.m. police ticketed a 17-year-old male from Altura for minor consumption of alcohol after a probation tracker reported the male was at a residence in the 150 block of North Baker.
At 11:33 a.m. a Winona resident reported missing her older model green Huffy bicycle from her residence in the 55 block of West Ninth Street.
Saturday, Sept 29
At 12:25 a.m. police ticketed Michael Benjamin Price, 24, of Winona, for obstructing the legal process and fleeing the police on foot after officers saw Price walking near Schydes bar. The officer knew Price was on probation and was not to be drinking alcohol. The officer made contact with Price and asked him what his name was. When Price gave a false name, the officer asked to see his driverís license, to which Price replied it was in his vehicle. When the officer was walking with Price to his vehicle, Price ran. The officer caught up with Price near Second and Johnson streets. The officer administered a preliminary breath test and Price had a blood alcohol content of .059 percent.
At 9:59 p.m. police ticketed and referred a 17-year-old female of Winona for fifth degree assault, theft and disorderly conduct after officers were called to a disturbance near Third and Main streets. According to the report, the 17-year-old female was in an altercation with a 38-year-old female. The 38-year-old female swung a purse at the female minor. The minor then picked up the purse, got into a car and drove off.
At 10:49 p.m. police arrested and referred Christopher Stanley Gozdal, 24, of Winona, for domestic assault causing harm and fear after police received a report of an altercation that turned physical at a residence in the 150 block of Mankato Street. According to the report, a witness said Gozdal and the 21-year-old victim were in a verbal argument in another room when Gozdal allegedly cocked his arm back to punch the victim. The witness said she heard a scream and said the victim had been hit. Gozdal and the victim left but the witness said she stayed and waited for police. When police arrived, they found Gozdal with the victim nearby.
At 2:45 a.m. police arrested Charles Roy Stark, 41, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after an officer saw Stark make a wide turn at the intersection of Broadway and Vine without signaling his turn. When the officer made contact with Stark, he detected the odor of alcohol and administered a preliminary breath test. Stark had a blood alcohol content of .13 percent.
At 12 p.m. a Winona resident reported the burglary of his home in the 500 block of Lafayette Street. The man said someone entered his residence through the back door sometime between midnight and 1 a.m. the night before. The man reported missing a Galaxy S2 phone, a Playstation 3 controller, and three video games. Estimated cost of the stolen property is $385.
Monday, October 1
At 5:55 p.m. police arrested and referred James Donald Ranvik, 55, of Winona, for third degree driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license after police responded to a call of a suspicious male lingering near Behrens Manufacturing in the 1250 block of East Sanborn. The caller believed the male was intoxicated. Upon arrival, the officer found Ranvik in a vehicle and made contact with him. The officer detected the odor of alcohol and took Ranvik into custody. The officer administered a preliminary breath test at the law enforcement center and Ranvik had a blood alcohol content of .23 percent.
At 6:45 p.m. police ticketed Suzan Q. Djavedan, 55, of Winona, for trespassing at Walmart after an employee found her in the store. Djavedan had been removed from the store in July and was told she could not enter Walmart.
Tuesday, October 2
At 1:06 a.m. police arrested Derek Walter Wenger, 22, of Cochrane, Wis., for third degree driving while intoxicated and second degree test refusal after he was pulled over near Broadway and Junction streets for speeding and running a stop sign. The officer made contact with Wenger and detected the odor of alcohol. Wenger was taken into custody, provided a preliminary breath test, and had a blood alcohol content of .225 percent. When Wenger arrived at the law enforcement center, he refused to provide a new breath test.
