Gertrude P. Palubicki, age 99, of Winona, Minn., died on Monday, October 1, 2012, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Gertrude was born on September 9, 1913, in Pine Creek, Wis., to Joseph and Mary (Przytarski) Lessman. On November 26, 1936, she was united in marriage with Edward J. Palubicki at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, Wis.; he preceded her in death on December 6, 1992.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Harvest House.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Ann (John) Gustin, Eagan, Minn., grandchildren, David (Michelle) Merten and children, Alex and Kristina, Grayslake, Ill., Kennedri (Kevin) Gustin and children, Christian and Gabriel, Apple Valley, Minn., and Melissa (Josh) Weigel and children, Lauren and Ragan, Rochester, Minn., nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Susan Merten; and all of her brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The Very Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
Gertrude will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pine Creek, Wis.
Visitation will be held at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
